Questions

1. The number of all nurse intake at Band 5 level who have been recruited from the following sources in the last 12 months. Please provide the information broken down in the 3 categories:

• Graduate Nurse intake – Please include any nurses who have studied in the UK as well as international students if you have this information.

• International intake – Recruited through international recruitment campaigns.

• Other intake – to include but not limited to; UK nurses transfer from other trusts, internal promotion such as Nursing associates becoming Band 5 nurses or nurses moving from the care sector into the NHS.

2. Please also advise what percentage of the nursing workforce is over the age of 60.

3. Please advise what is the Nursing workforce attrition % for 2023.

Response

1. 554 offers have been made to the preceptorship program.
   
   
   337 nurses have been recruited.
   
   
   In the last twelve months, across all nursing vacancies, 2 109 offers were made to qualified nurses outside of UHB.
   
   There have been 20 registered nursing associates, who have completed their registered nurse degree within the last 12 months. They are all working at UHB.
