Mary P CaseySutton Coldfield North
Mary’s background is in educational leadership. She continues to lecture and serves as a school governor.
Mary took early retirement from her full time role to care for a family member in her own home and remains interested in the health and needs of the housebound and their carers.
As a Justice of the Peace she chaired in the Criminal and Family Courts and was elected to the Lord Chancellor’s Advisory Committee, interviewing and recommending the appointment of candidates from diverse backgrounds to serve in the delivery of justice in the Birmingham courts. She now supports vulnerable witnesses in criminal Crown Court trials. Mary is also a committee member of the Magistrates’ Association.
Having served as a Trustee of Anawim, Birmingham’s Centre for Women, she is passionate about being a voice for the vulnerable in our society.
With her experience of setting up the Patient Participation Group at her own Dental Practice and attending hospitals in our Trust, Mary is committed to listening to, and feeding back, the views of the people of Sutton Coldfield with the intention of improving communication, services and accountability.
