Joseph MurphyQuinton, Halesowen and Southwest
Joseph was brought up and educated in Harborne, and he has been a resident of South Birmingham for over 60 years.
His principal career was as a property specialist for the public sector, including housing associations. This included the development of GP surgeries towards a more patient focused service.
More recently he has worked within a large operational ambulance hub on a 24-hour shift pattern. Voluntary roles have included being a local scout leader and school governor. Joseph was also a director of a South Birmingham community charity, operating a nursery and a small elderly day unit. He is particularly concerned with the interaction of health and social services and overall wellbeing.
Joseph is a graduate and holds a Diploma in Health and Social Welfare and Physics. He also holds Marine and Amateur licenses and is currently the chairman of the local radio society.
