Michael has lived in Lichfield for 44 years, and has a background in education.
He was a teacher for 35 years in a secondary school, holding various roles throughout his career. Michael has served on a primary school governing body as well as serving as a governor of King Edward VI School Lichfield for many years, many of which were as Chairman of Governors.
Most of his other voluntary work has been in the sports sector. He was secretary, acting general manager and Vice Chairman of Birmingham City Women’s Football Club during a succesful period.
More recently he has become a member of the Westgate practice Lichfield PPG group.
In Michaels spare time he enjoys working on his allotment with his wife Pat, watching cricket at Edgbaston, and following both men and women’s teams at Birmingham city FC.
