Martin has been a teacher in London, a school improvement adviser in Birmingham and chief inspector for schools in Lewisham.
He enjoyed serving the people of Moseley for eleven years as a ward councillor. He supported council committees including licensing, planning and the Commonwealth Games. He was also a cabinet advisor for corporate parenting and governor champion for the city.
Martin has a strong commitment to the environment and biodiversity, a sustainable future for Birmingham and a healthy future for children, families and communities.
