Food and clothing bank

Redundancy, illness, benefit changes or delays, debt and family breakdown are just some of the reasons why there has been a large increase in the number of people being referred to food banks.

In partnership with Sparkhill Foodbank and local charity Narthex, University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) operates a food and clothing collection point where staff, patients and visitors can donate food and clothing to help those in real need.

The partnership allows UHB staff to give food or clothing parcels to patients in need of support when they are discharged from hospital. Support can also be provided via a Trussell Trust referral voucher, which can be redeemed at a food bank for a three day supply of food.

Collection point

If you are able to donate, you can do so at the Faith and Community Centre, Level 1, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEHB). Our volunteers or reception staff can help if you are unsure where to go.

Your donations of food and clothing will help to keep vulnerable people warm and fed at a time of crisis. Thank you for your kindness and generous support.
