Freedom of information requests

The Freedom of Information Act gives you the right to request and access information held by University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB).

As part of the Freedom of Information Act, you have the right to know:

  • how our services are organised and run
  • how much the services cost
  • how to make a complaint
  • the targets we have set
  • the standard of services we expect
  • the results we have achieved

The Trust is obliged to respond to freedom of information requests. In accordance with the Freedom of Information Code of Practice and guidance from the Information Commissioner’s Office there are exemptions from accessing certain information.
