Travelling to hospital for an appointment isn't always easy or convenient. That's why you can now talk to your care team via video consultation from the comfort of your home. It's easy, your smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer should have a camera and microphone that you can communicate with. Ensure you use the Safari browser if you're on Apple, and Google Chrome or Firefox if you're on Windows. You will also need a good Internet connection a well lit room and a stable surface to place your device on so your camera stays steady.
We'll send you a text message when you have a new video appointment. The text will have a link that you should click for more information about the appointment online. Here you can read about video consultations and how they work as well as manage your appointment.
The day of your appointment one to two hours before it's sheduled. We'll send another text with a direct link to your video consultation. Click the link in your text message to go straight to your private waiting room. Type in your name. click join and grant access to your microphone and camera so your clinician can hear and see you on the call.
Once in your personal waiting room, you can test your microphone and camera. You may need to wait a while if the clinic is running late so please stay on the video consultation until they join your clinicians video will take up most of the screen. You can mute and unmute yourself. Turn your camera off and on find details including the consultation link and send and receive messages from anyone on the consultation.
