The Cardiac Surgery department provides specialist services such as transplantation and aortic surgery.
The team provide an evidence-based approach to care which is supported by integrated care pathways and protocols.
Cardiac Surgery is based on Ward 727, Level 7, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEHB).
The Intensive Therapy Unit (ITU) and theatres are situated on Level 2 of QEHB.
Clinical research is supported by a range of active trials within the department.
