We offer in-house training for staff involved in the supervision and assessment of our students, in the form of face-to-face updates for existing staff and targeted training for new staff without any previous qualifications.
UHB KUDOS model
This training is underpinned by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Standards for Student Supervision and Assessment (SSSA) and taught using the in-house KUDOS framework, which places staff on either a GOLD practice assessor or SILVER practice supervisor level. Staff can also progress towards a PLATINUM senior practice assessor, for those interested in clinical education and becoming our link from practice areas to university.
This training also allows you to link with your appraisal requirements, continuous professional development (CPD) and NMC revalidation.
