Where to park

Parking should only be in the designated visitor car parking areas. Visitor car parks A and B are located by Ward 27 and the Homeward Centre (Ward 26). At peak times our car parks can become congested with spaces limited.

All car parks across the Good Hope Hospital site have been accredited by the Park Mark® Safer Parking Scheme.

Disabled parking

Parking for blue badge holders is available in the following locations:

  • Main visitors' car park, opposite the Treatment centre
  • On the roadway between Bedford Road and the Treatment Centre
  • Sheldon visitors' car park
  • Outside the Rehabilitation Centre/opposite the Medical Academy
  • Next to the Rehabilitation Centre/bordering Rectory Road

From Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00, please show your blue badge (the photo ID section) at the Area A reception window in the Treatment Centre to receive a free ticket. Please leave the clock section of your blue badge on display in your car.

Outside of these hours, and during weekends and bank holidays, please exchange your ticket at the car parking cabin.

How to pay for parking

Please do not pay for parking until you are ready to leave the car park as underpaid tickets will be rejected by the exit barrier machine.

The 30 minute drop off or pick up only ticket allows free entrance and exit for up to 30 minutes. There is no need to use the pay machine, simply insert your ticket in the exit barrier.

Payment methods

  • Cash
  • Credit card
  • Debit card

Please note that debit and credit cards are only taken at the car parking cabin and not by the payment machine.

Multiple visit tickets

Discounted tickets for multiple visits are available to purchase from the parking office.

A 20 exit card, which is valid for 90 days, at a cost of £10 is available to chemotherapy, Palliative Care and Renal patients and their visitors. The 20 visit card can be purchased once a form from the eligible ward or department has been signed. The ticket is not transferable and can only be used on the Good Hope Hospital site.
