Clean Air Zone

If you're travelling to one of our locations by car, you may need to pay to travel through Birmingham's Clean Air Zone. Check the Brum Breathes website for full information.

Where to park

Cars should only be parked in the designated public car parking areas by the main entrance and Outpatients department. At peak times our car parks can become congested and spaces are limited.

All car parks across the Heartlands Hospital site have good lighting and have been accredited by the Park Mark® Safer Parking Scheme.

Disabled parking

Parking for blue badge holders is available in the main visitors' car park.

Please show your badge at main reception to receive a free exit ticket. Reception is located on the left as you enter the hospital via the main entrance.

How to pay for parking

Please do not pay for parking until you are ready to leave the car park as underpaid tickets will be rejected by the exit barrier machine.

The 30 minute drop off or pick up only ticket allows free entrance and exit for up to 30 minutes. There is no need to use the pay machine, simply insert your ticket in the exit barrier.

Multiple visit tickets

Discounted tickets for multiple visits are available to purchase from the parking office.

A 20 exit card, which is valid for 90 days, at a cost of £10 is available to chemotherapy, Palliative Care, Renal and Ward 26 patients and their visitors. The 20 visit card can be purchased once a form from the eligible ward or department has been signed. The ticket is not transferable and can only be used on the Heartlands Hospital site.
