This page is intended for use by clinicians at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham as a guideline for referring patients to Renal.
How to refer
If a patient needs further support from the Renal team, please refer via the following methods:
Monday to Sunday (all hours)
- Refer all patients via PICS (Requests > Renal referral)
- For urgent referrals, call the renal Registrar on call via Switchboard in addition to a PICS referral
Do not refer for outpatient appointments via PICS, please speak to renal registrar on call before discharge.
