When caring changes or ends

Caring for another person can be a significant part of your life and it can be difficult to navigate when things change or your caring role comes to an end. This may be for a variety of reasons, such as the person you care for may:

  • recover and no longer need care
  • move into residential care
  • be approaching the end of their life, or
  • sadly die

Throughout all these situations there are people available to provide you with the specialist support and information you may need. You can access this via hospital staff, the Carer Support Service or carer charities.
