Maternity

Within this information, we may use the terms "woman" and "women". However, we recognise that not only people who identify as women may want to access this content. Your care should be personalised, inclusive and sensitive to your needs, whatever your gender identity.

Our Maternity departments are proud to offer a kind and compassionate service to the diverse population of Birmingham. At Good Hope, Heartlands and Solihull hospitals, we provide women with care before and throughout pregnancy, during delivery and following the birth. With an average of 25 babies born and cared for every day by our specialist team, our dedicated and passionate team of midwives, doctors and support staff offers 24-hour care.

From Monday 20 March 2023, the antenatal clinic at Heartlands Hospital will be relocated to the Heartlands Treatment Centre (HTC).
