Your first appointment with the Podiatrist may involve the following:
- a medical/surgical and social history will be undertaken
- the clinician will gain an understanding of your current foot problems and needs
- a vascular and neurological assessment will be undertaken on the day to determine risk status and eligibility
- if you require any treatment on the day this will be undertaken
- treatment will be provided based on your risk status
- a short term and long term treatment plan will be created for your care if suitable, if not you will be discharged with advice and self management
