Travelling abroad

Medical clearance from a doctor will be required before you can travel abroad.

Adequate medical insurance will be required and we will inform you of the nearest Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) centre should you need medical assistance during your trip.

At the airport you will not be able to pass through metal detectors or body scanners as these devices can interfere with your pump.
