Hand therapy team

Our hand therapists are an essential part of the team who not only help to provide controlled hand therapy before and after surgery but also custom make splints and supports used to protect hands when they are recovering.

Our therapists are located on three different sites:

  • In Outpatient Department Area 4 at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEHB), next to the hand clinics where patients will be seen when attending a consultant hand clinic
  • In a larger department on level 1 of the hospital for more specialist therapy, or for those patients needing treatment for longer durations
  • They also attend the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital (ROH) to treat the patients having non-emergency surgery and treatments
