Gynaecological paediatric service

The Gynaecology Paediatrics clinic sees girls ranging from one to 17 years old.  They are treated for a range of symptoms including heavy periods, abnormal bleeding , painful periods, pelvic pain, vaginal discharge, vulval itching, suspected PCOS and endometriosis.

The clinic is led by Miss Poonam Pradhan, who is a senior gynaecologist who has practiced as a consultant at UHB for over 20 years. As an experienced practitioner,, she was the lead for paediatric gynaecology during COVID-19 and has a particular interest in pelvic ultrasound scanning.
